About the Role
This post is part of an exciting strategic development to further enhance the Centre’s research themes in early diagnosis and prevention of cancer. The successful candidate will assist in the design of studies and undertake statistical analyses of data from cancer screening, early diagnosis and prevention studies. This will include a meta-analysis of published data from studies of features of screen-detected pulmonary nodules as risk factors for lung cancer as well as the design and analysis of a survey of attitudes towards cancer screening modalities.
Candidates must have a MSc, PhD or equivalent experience in statistics or a related quantitative field. Experience of using statistical analysis tools (e.g., STATA, R) with large datasets and an understanding of the research process are essential. The post would suit someone who is passionate about early diagnosis and prevention and seeking to develop their reputation and independence in their subject.
