Profile

Since qualifying in 2001, I have worked  in various clinical  settings in Portugal and the UK and from 2014 as clinical research nurse, on a wide variety of phase II-IV commercial and investigator-lead clinical trials such as NASH, metabolic diseases, Diabetes, Nutrition, hypertension and cardiac imaging in major London trusts. I started working in 2019 with Dr Ruth Dobson at the Wolfson Institute of Population Health on the OPTIMISE MS study, a prospective, pragmatic, real world pharmacovigilance study in Multiple Sclerosis. I am responsible for providing day to day leadership to the OPTIMISE MS sites both on site and remotely.  I  am passionate in delivering high quality clinical trials to patients and volunteers, increasing patient participation and engagement. I am also an advocate of professional development of  the next generation of clinical research nurses and practioners.
