Sumit is a Research Assistant in the Preventive Neurology Unit, working on the Barts Brain Health Clinical Study. He is assisting with recruitment and collection of clinical and neuropsychological data of research participants from memory clinics in East London. Sumit has a particular interest in Dementia prevention and management.

Prior to this position, Sumit worked at Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust as a Clinical Research Coordinator on multiple dementia and mental health clinical trials. He has supervised the monitoring team for the TIHM for Dementia study, investigating the effectiveness of using assistive technology to remotely monitor the health and wellbeing of people with dementia living at home.

Sumit has completed his postgraduate study at UCL on Clinical Neuroscience, where his project focused on finding lesions that predict speech comprehension after stroke. He has an undergraduate degree on Neuropsychology from the University of Central Lancashire.
