Dr John Whall
Honorary Lecturer, Centre for Psychiatry
John is a Higher Trainee in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry training at Great Ormond Street. He was appointed as a Fellow in Medical Education at East London NHS Foundation Trust and QMUL, and as an Honorary Lecturer in the Centre for Psychiatry, in February 2020. John graduated with a Master of Pharmacy degree from the University of Portsmouth and worked as a pharmacist for several years prior to studying medicine. He graduated from Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry in 2010 with a Batchelors degree in Medicine and Surgery. John completed his core psychiatry training at South London and the Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust and obtained membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 2015. He has previously conducted research looking at how communication skills are taught to undergraduate students. John has an interest in neurodevelopmental disorders and psychopharmacology.
