Dr Tennyson Lee
Honorary Senior Lecturer, Centre for Psychiatry
Dr Lee is a Consultant Psychiatrist in Medical Psychotherapy and General Adult Psychiatry and clinical lead at DeanCross Personality Disorder Service (winner RCPsych Psychiatric team of the year 2019: Working-age Adults). He is joint research lead on the executive committee of the Medical Psychotherapy Faculty in the Royal College of Psychiatry. Dr Lee is co director (alongside Prof Kam Bhui) of the Centre for Understanding of Personality Disorder (CUSP) , which has a range of international collaborating sites, including Penn State College, Melbourne University, Cape Town University and Si Chuan He Guang Clinical Psychology Institute. Dr Lee has a specialist training in public health and was previously a senior lecturer in the School of Public Health at University of Witwatersrand where he led the Mental Health Programme of the Centre for Health Policy. Dr Lee is a certified teacher and supervisor in Transference Focused Psychotherapy, serves on the International Society of TFP certification board, and is an accredited practitioner of Mentalization Based Treatment.
