The three centres that make up the Wolfson Institute of Preventive Medicine have a staff of about 180 and are active in undergraduate and graduate teaching.
Research groups within the Institute conduct large scale randomised prevention trials, screening research projects and epidemiological studies into the causation of disease.
We are responsible for teaching epidemiology, psychiatry and medical statistics within the medical school.
We are a training centre in medical screening, and have earned an international reputation for our research and teaching in epidemiology and preventive medicine.
