Profile

I am a health economist with an academic background in general internal medicine (Kirov State Medical Academy), public health (Maastricht University), economics and management (Vyatka State University), and a PhD in health economics (Maastricht University).

Before joining QMUL in 2019, I worked at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine and Maastricht University, focusing on strengthening health financing and financial protection, unmet healthcare need, process barriers/enablers towards Universal Health Coverage,  health resilience and social cohesion, and advancing data collection metrics for maternal/newborn health. I became a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy in 2019.

At the Wolfson Institute of Population Health, I work on trials of surgical interventions, shared-decision making, and hospital services redesign. I provide health economics advice for Research Design Service London. I am also representing the European region as one of the elected Directors on the Board of Health System Global.
