Chelu Mfalila

I graduated with a Master of Science in Biostatistics from the Harvard Chan School of Public Health. I have since gained significant collaborative experience at both academic and biomedical research institutions in the America and UK.

I am a Trial Statistician at the Pragmatic Clinical Trials Unit within the Centre for Evaluation Methods. I am also a Specialist Advisor (Statistics) at Research Design Service London where we support academics, clinicians, health and social care professionals to develop high-quality research proposals for funding.

Research Interests:

I am keen on establishing collaborative work with a larger goal of developing prevention and treatment strategies which are efficacious and culturally relevant. My research interests are in:

  • Study design
  • Application of statistical and epidemiological methods on complex data structures including longitudinal data
  • Evaluation of surrogate endpoints as risk factors for disease progression
  • Causal Inference
