Our Senior Common Room is able to host an intimate ceremony before progressing to the stunning Octagon to enjoy a sit-down wedding breakfast with your guests.
Capacity: Civil Ceremonies for up to 240 guests.
Capacity: 100–240 guests for a sit-down dinner.
This stunning venue was built in 1888 and was originally the Queen Mary library, designed by Victorian architect ER Robson and inspired by the Reading Room at the British Museum. The domed ceiling reaches an impressive three storeys high and busts of famous literati surround the dome including Shakespeare, Wordsworth and Chaucer to name a few.
The Octagon is licensed for civil ceremonies for up to 240 guests and can host 100 to 240 guests for a wedding breakfast.
The Senior Common Room
Capacity: Civil Ceremonies for up to 120 guests.
This historical venue is located on the first floor of the iconic Queens’ Building, overlooking the Queens’ Lawn, Courtyard and Victorian Clocktower. This exclusive use private members club offers harmony and serenity, providing you and your guests a very private location for your civil ceremony for up to 120 guests, or 80 guests for a ceremony and reception.
