As well as subject-specific talks we also offer a range of general interest talks at the Mile End campus including Student Finance, Residential Life, the Principal’s Welcome and more to help you make an informed decision about your higher education studies.

|Residential Life||This talk provides an overview of the required criteria to be a priority applicant for our halls of residence, as well as the different styles and cost of halls and information on alternative housing options.|
|Student Finance||Find out how to fund your undergraduate study, including government funding, as well as bursaries and scholarships from QMUL. This talk will also address the cost of living in London and how to budget for your studies.|
|Student Life||Get an insight into what it's like to study at QMUL from a student's perspective. Led by the Students' Union, you will get an overview of societies, sports clubs and the social scene in London plus the support services available through QMSU.|

|Global Opportunities||Many of our courses include an integrated year abroad or the option to study abroad. Come along and find out more about the global opportunities and experiences available to you.|
This talk will provide an overview of Degree apprenticeships including information about how they work, their benefits and how you can apply for an apprenticeship. Degree apprenticeships are similar to higher apprenticeships, but differ in that they provide an opportunity to gain a full bachelor's degree. Designed in partnership with employers, part-time study takes place at a university, with the rest of your time being with your employer. In addition to the subject talks offered at the open day which give you an insight into what the course is about, some of our academic schools also offer a range of interesting taster lectures in the Mile End campus. These lectures address a variety of fascinating topics which people interested in a variety of subjects will find appealing.
