Queen Mary is committed to supporting students from traditionally under-represented backgrounds in higher education.
Our Widening Participation Travel Bursary aims to bring students who have specific characteristics typically under-represented in higher education on to campus. By attending our Open Day, students can make informed choices about their future and explore the options available to them.
The bursary will cover reasonable travel costs on public transport for qualifying individuals. Those who receive the travel bursary will be invited to attend an online event before the Open Day. This online event will provide an additional level of information and guidance.
To apply for the bursary you need to follow the 3 steps below.

Step 2. Fill in our application form
Once you've checked that you qualify, please fill in our online application form.
Step 3. Register for the Open Day
You only need to complete the above form to sign up to the Open Day and apply for the bursary. Bursary eligibility will be confirmed within seven days of application. Eligible students will be reimbursed by completing a claim form when visiting the Realising Opportunities stand in the Student Services Fair at the Open Day.
