Our International Business with a Year Abroad BSc (4 years) will equip you with the skills you need to analyse complex business issues and operate effectively in business organisations. In the third year of your degree, you will spend a year abroad at one of our international partner universities, where you'll benefit from exposure to a different cultural setting.

We have strong partnerships with universities across the globe – from Italy to Singapore and Canada to Australia. With the support of Queen Mary and your host university, you will live and study in a different country, giving you the chance to travel widely and enhance your career prospects. This experience will be of great value to those looking to enter the international business landscape, as it will allow you to gain international experience and cross-cultural understanding.
Teaching and research are based on three pillars: governance; social justice and sustainability; as well as the UN Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME).
You'll receive approximately two hours of weekly contact time per module, comprising lectures led by academic staff and smaller seminar groups.
For every hour spent in class, you’ll complete a further two to three hours of independent study. You'll have access to well-designed resources for this self-directed study, and we will pair you with an academic advisor to support your progress at all stages of your degree.
Assessment typically includes a combination of coursework (presentations, assignments, essay report writing, in-class tests, research and project work) and/or examinations in May or June.

UK students accepted onto this course are eligible to apply for tuition fee and maintenance loans from Student Finance England or other government bodies.
