Why Psychology at Queen Mary?

As a Russell Group university with a difference, we believe that Psychology gives us valuable insight into many areas of life – from human behaviour in the classroom to animal cognition and natural selection.

At Queen Mary we treat the subject as a natural and experimental science, whether you approach it from the perspective of psychology or neuroscience. We teach you about cognitive, social, developmental and abnormal psychology and help you apply this knowledge in topics such as counselling and health psychology.

Professional placement options between the second and third years will allow you to develop the teamwork, communication and organisational skills that are vital in any career.  Our degree is also accredited by the British Psychological Society, meaning when you graduate you are eligible for Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership.
