Question one – Favourite spot on campus

You voted: The Canal!

The canal area at our Mile End campus was by far the most popular spot. This little oasis is a welcome break from the hustle and bustle of the city, and is a great place for hanging out with friends and watching the world go by. It's especially beautiful in the summer, when the canal comes alive with greenery and wildlife. Why not take a walk along the bank north towards Victoria Park for even more beautiful surroundings?

Question two – Favourite place to eat on campus

You voted: Drapers Bar & Kitchen!

Drapers Bar & Kitchen is the most popular place on campus to grab some food or a drink. It has recently been renovated to provide a relaxed and easy-going environment for students and staff to take a break from work and socialise with friends. The improved menu offers good quality food and options for those with special dietary requirements, and the kitchen is open until 8.30pm each day.

Question three – Favourite local attraction

You voted: Brick Lane!

Brick Lane and the surrounding area comes out on top for your favourite local attractions. This isn't surprising, since the area is now extremely popular with London’s young and edgy crowd. There's plenty to see here, including galleries, restaurants, markets and festivals throughout the year! Why not explore all of the weird and interesting street art that characterises this trendy part of the East End?

Question four – Favourite place to eat off campus

You voted: Greedy Cow!

Located just off of the crossroads by Mile End tube station, this popular restaurant closeby to the Mile End campus has got your vote. Selling a range of different burgers and steaks, including more exotic meats such as wagyu, kangaroo, bison and crocodile, this family-owned restaurant is sure to have you coming back for more. Don't worry, vegetarian and vegan options are also available!

Where else can you try?

You voted for a range of different restaurants all serving varied cuisines – find out more on the 'Favourite place to eat off campus' page!

Question five – Favourite place to study

You voted: Mile End Library!

Mile End Library is the most popular place to study among our students. The library recently underwent a £1.5m refurbishment which included: a new active learning and study centre, a 57-seat training room and a range of additional group study and consultation rooms, a new 35-seat silent PC room, a new 69-seat silent postgraduate taught reading room, increased toilet facilities with a gender neutral, environmentally friendly toilet suite, improved water supply and drainage throughout the building, and more. Interestingly, you told us that the first floor window seats facing the cemetery were a great spot, so why not try to grab a chair there next time you visit?
