Project Description

The PPRC has several ongoing projects in the development of silicon detectors, including contributions to the development and construction of the ATLAS Inner Tracker upgrade and the development of novel thin silicon detectors.  Such thin detectors may be used in future colliders beyond the LHC, as well as in wider detection applications in industry.  There are opportunities for students in several aspects of this project.

Requirements

The project will involve actively working in the laboratories within SPA, including our clean rooms, and will require travel to external sites in order to perform field tests of equipment developed.
