QMUL's Astronomical Observatory Captures Solar Eclipse
Members of the Astronomy Unit gathered at the School of Physics and Astronomy's Observatory to witness the recent partial solar eclipse.
On the morning of 10th June 2021 the UK witnessed a partial solar eclipse. In London about 32% of the Sun was covered by the Moon, with the full transit lasting just over 2 hours. Despite the cloudy skies, the Sun became visible for a time and was able to be observed with the Astronomical Observatory on the roof of the Physics and Astronomy building. More information about the observatory can be found here.
