The Centre for Research in String Theory at Queen Mary University of London invites applications for a 2-year postdoctoral position starting no later than October 1st 2019. The position will be funded by Dr Costis Papageorgakis' Royal Society Research Fellows Enhancement Award.
Candidates should have a strong research record within theoretical physics, in an area consonant with the current research in the Centre for Research in String Theory such as: perturbative and non-perturbative aspects of gauge and string theory, dualities in field theory and string theory, AdS/CFT and black hole physics. Preference will be given to applicants with expertise in the area of supersymmetric gauge theories in diverse dimensions, including various exact techniques such as supersymmetric localisation and the superconformal index. The successful applicant will be expected to have a PhD in Theoretical Physics (or equivalent experience) and be particularly knowledgeable in the areas specified above.
Applicants are requested to fill in the online application form available here and arrange for three letters of recommendation to be emailed to email@example.com.
