Status of muon-induced neutron detection in the SNO+ water phase detector

17 January 2019

Time: 3:00 - 4:30pm
Speaker: Billy Liggins (Queen Mary)
Venue: G.O. Jones, room 410

Cosmic muon-induced neutrons are importat backgrounds for various low background measurements. We present the current status of measurement of neutron production in SNO+ filled with water. Also presented is an update on the SNO+, including the low energy neutron calibration with AmBe source, resulting in a neutron capture efficiency >46% in water filled detector. SLides:
