Flavour anomalies: a model building perspective

The recent hints of deviations from the SM in low-energy flavour-changing processes have shaken many prejudices about physics beyond the SM, opening new directions in model building. In this
talk I will highlight some of these new directions, emphasising the key role of flavour physics.
