DISCnet PhD student Joe Davies will give an informal seminar on October 25th 2019, about job placement experience, discussing the tasks and the techniques developed.
In recent years, the School of Physics and Astronomy has recruited a number of PhD students who are exploring Big Data and Machine Learning techniques from different aspects beyond the usual research aspects. They are mainly part of the Data Intensive Science Centre in SEPnet, DISCnet, which is an STFC Centre for Doctoral Training, providing a platform upon which a new generation of data intensive scientists can be trained.
