Particle Physics Summer School

The Particle Physics Research Centre in partnership with the STEM partnerships team at St Paul's School would like to share with you a fantastic opportunity for year 10 students across the UK.

The course is organised and run in partnership between the School of Physics and Astronomy and St Paul’s School. It brings to life the complex subject of particle physics through a series of workshops and lectures led by teachers and academic researchers. The course will demonstrate the importance of the field across the sciences, engineering and computer science.

A maximum of three students from any one school will be selected. Places will be allocated on the basis of simple application forms requiring short statements from both student and nominating teacher. As this course takes place during term time approval must be given by the student’s school, otherwise they cannot attend. We particularly encourage students with a keen interest in STEM and particle physics to apply.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must attend a UK non-fee paying school
  • Must be completing year 10 or equivalent
  • Must receive permission from school to attend

Application Details

For the application to be fully considered both students and their nominating teacher must complete their respective forms. The deadline for application is midnight 29 April 2021, applications received after this date will not be considered.

Please visit the school website for more information and to apply. The application deadline is Thursday 29 April 2021, applications received after this date will not be considered.
