A stiff Higgstory of the Universe

16 November 2015

Time: 4:30pm
Venue: See Talk Details
Series:
The London Relativity and Cosmology Seminar
Speaker:
Daniel Figueroa (CERN) **Special Date 16th Nov**

Abstract:

I will present the cosmological implications of the decay of the Standard Model Higgs after Inflation. I will discuss the conditions for a successful 'reheating’ of the Universe into the Standard Model species, assuming a post-inflationary/pre-BBN expansion history driven by a stiff source. I will also discuss the implications of all this for early Universe gravitational waves.
