A theory of massive gravity has been recently proposed, that overcomes most of the theoretical  problems of previous proposals to give mass to the graviton of the past 80 years. I will review in a pedagogical manner all the steps to build such a theory of modified gravity, and critically discuss the intriguing possibility that massive gravity can explain present day acceleration in a technically natural way.
