The QMUL entry requirements are based on following factors:

  1. Academic qualifications and performance (or predictions)
  2. Aptitude testing – the UCAT

For your application to be considered, the following entry requirements should be met:

1. Academic qualifications

Graduate students with UK degree

  • You may apply in the final year of your degree and must be predicted/achieved at least an upper second class honours degree (or equivalent) in any subject. Degrees are divided into three categories, you can find more information on our degree title checker
  • Degrees must be completed in the natural length intended for the qualification (generally, 3 years for Bachelors, and 4 years for integrated Masters).
  • If you are unsure that your degree subject is acceptable, or what A/AS requirements you may need then please use our degree title checker or contact us and we will be happy to advise. We may request you provide us with evidence as to why you believe your degree should be exempted for the A or AS level requirement
  • Please note that we do not accept equivalent qualifications in lieu of A Levels and so candidates with overseas qualifications may not be accepted.

For school-leavers/gap-year students and graduates, applicants will be ranked according to a 50:50 weighting applied to the UCAT score and academic ability as measured by UCAS tariff or academic ability for graduates based on a weighting of degree classification or postgraduate degrees compared to other applicants who apply in that same year

Graduates who apply for the five-year programmes and four-year GEP programme who meet the minimum academic criteria will be ranked against the other graduate applicants applying in that year according to 50:50 weighting applied to the UCAT score and academic ability as measured using a points weighting of degree classification or postgraduate degrees
