The QMUL IAT team arrange serveral events throughout the year.
45 ACFs, CLs, and other junior and senior academics joined us for an exciting programme with a great mix of fellows’ talks, senior academic talks, mentoring events, panel discussions, during our inaugural Research Day on 27 September 2018. All current Academic Clinical Fellows, Clinical Lecturers, supervisors and academic leads were invited to attend and participate. The event was a great success and we look forward to the 2019 Research Day already.

The QMUL IAT team run a number of lectures for QMUL MBBS students throughout the academic year to make students aware of the Integrated Academic Training option that works alongside their clinical training. The one hour lecture includes information on the IAT programme in general, a former ACF's experience, and plenty of time to ask questions. Dates will be publicised throughout the year.

ACF posts tend to start around August / September each year. We hold an induction event towards the end of August each year for new starters. This is an evening event, providing information on ACF posts in general and some QMUL specifics and a good opportunity to meet fellow-ACFs. CL new starters are always invited to join the social part of the event.
2019 ACF Induction - 29 August 2019
ACFs value communication with their peers. For this reason, the QMUL IAT have set up an annual networking event. This is an evening event, taking place around May each year. This offers an opportunity to meet fellow ACFs and share experiences. In addition to all current QMUL ACFs and the QMUL IAT team we also invite former ACFs and academic supervisors to give everybody the opportunity to ask questions.
After the successful events of the last two years, we're planning something a little different for 2019. There will be a grant-writing workshop before the networking event. Details will follow shortly.
