About this event: In this taster session, we will explore how Comparative Literature allows us to delve into the world of word play and literary games. In recent years, language games have sprung up all over the place: from Wordle, to Duolingo, to video games based on literary works. Often, word games are considered a waste of time; they’re associated with childhood, nonsense rhymes, and writers like Dr Seuss. But are word games and literary play as trivial as they might seem? Can they do serious things? And if so...what? Come along, join in the discussion, and find out!
