Medieval Hispanic Research Seminars

Welcome to the Medieval Hispanic Research Seminar (MHRS) based in the section of Iberian and Latin American Studies, of the Department of Modern Languages and Cultures at Queen Mary Univeristy of London. 

MHRS was founded in 1967 by Professor Alan D. Deyermond to provide a forum for the presentation and discussion of work by graduate students at Westfield College. Since then, it has expanded its remit to include papers from anyone working on the art, culture, history, languages and literatures of the Iberian world in the Middle Ages.

In addition to its monthly Friday , MHRS runs a biennial , bringing together scholars from United Kingdom, Europe and the Americas, occasional , and has its own series, the , which publishes short monographs and editions.
