Ms Elodie Galiana

Room Number: Arts One 1.40A

After a Licence (BA equivalent) and a Master’s degree in English, specializing in Translation and Translation Studies, I am now a PhD student in British literature at Aix-Marseille Université, within the Research Center on the Anglophone World (LERMA E.A.853). My thesis focuses on the representation of femininity given in Jonathan Swift’s works. For my first year of Master’s degree, I was an exchange student at the University of Western Ontario (London – Canada). The dissertations I wrote for my first and second years of Master’s degree both focused on the translation of samples of the journal written by a Scottish botanist, Archibald Menzies, between 1790 and 1794. I have been a fellow teacher in English at Aix-Marseille Université and in high schools during my PhD, as well as a tutor in various subjects (French, English, Spanish, maths, history...) since 2010.
