Over two days (23-24 May 2018), English-speaking audiences will, for the first time, have the opportunity to find out more about the theatre and performance art of Joan Brossa (1919-1998).
Known internationally as an avant-garde artist who collaborated with Miró and Tàpies, Brossa also wrote many plays, musical actions, dance pieces and striptease scenarios.
Join us for talks, workshops and performances, with experts, directors and performers from around the world.
 
Participants include: Emily Mast (USA), Jonathan Allen (UK), Hari Marini (Greece), and (from Catalonia, Spain), Laura Pau, Adrià Aubert, Jordi Oriol and Carles Pedragosa.
 
Registration is free but necessary for organisation purposes.

Emeritus Professor of Hispanic Studies at Swansea University, expert in Catalan and Spanish theatre of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, and contemporary Catalan theatre and performance.
