When you say a sentence, that sentence evokes a new thought in the mind of the person you are talking to. This is because words of human languages have meanings, and the ways that those words combine also has an effect on meaning. This module looks at the different aspects of meaning that contribute to the process of understanding sentences that underlies all communication.
