Louis is a PhD researcher, funded by the ESRC’s LISS DTP. His research is in the field of linguistic landscapes. Specifically, he is interested in the recent (and ongoing) debates surrounding the legalisation of abortion in Ireland, and how issues of gender and national identity surface in signage commenting on or advocating for or against liberalisation of abortion laws.
