Public engagement: Linguistics in MFL

Published:

Along with academics from Anglia Ruskin and Cambridge, Dr Jonathan Kasstan is co-leading The ‘Linguistics in Modern Foreign Language A-Levels’ Project (website: http://linguisticsinmfl.co.uk), that will assess the potential for the inclusion of linguistic topics in MFL A-levels.

As part of this project, on the 8th September 2018, we are hosting a Feedback Day for A-Level teachers from across the country who are participating in the project. This will be an opportunity to bring together teachers to share their experiences with teaching the pilot materials developed collaboratively between colleagues at seven HE institutions. At the same time, project leads Kasstan, Michelle Sheehan (ARU) and Norma Schifano (Cambridge) will present preliminary results from the pilot data collected during the project from participating students. The day-event is generously funded by the Philological Society and SLLF.
