Published:

The successful candidate will be expected to convene and teach introductory and advanced modules in phonology at undergraduate and MA level, and enrich the graduate and research life of the department by developing phonology as a research area. The department seeks a phonologist who can extend the expertise of either the Formal Linguistics (which spans morphology, syntax and semantics) or the Sociolinguistics research group (which spans a range of sociolinguistic and bilingualism research) or both. Experimental research (such as within the laboratory phonology paradigm) within either group is welcome.

The closing date for applications is 04 January 2017. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for interview on 13 and 14 February 2017. Although QMUL does not require candidates to submit samples of their research as part of their application, we recommend that you enclose 1-2 representative articles (in the same document as your CV) with your application and/or provide us with a web link to access samples online.
