Esther de Leeuw is presenting twice at the New Sounds 2013 conference at Concordia University in Montreal, Canada, on May 17-19. She is presenting her joint work with Aurela Tusha on "SLM Revisited: Phonological L1 attrition in Albanian-English bilinguals" and her joint work with Linnaea Stockall and Dimitra Lazaridou-Chatzigoga on "Pronunciation proficiency and non-linguistic cognitive advantages in unimodal bilinguals", a first outcome of the project "Is earlier always better? Factors affecting bilingual speech perception and production".
