Associate Prof. Dr. Geng Zhi, joins the Confucius Institute jointly run by Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) and Shanghai University of Finance and Economics (SUFE) as Chinese teacher in Sep.2019. He obtained his Bachelor degree in Teaching Chinese as a Second Language from Beijing Language and Culture University in 2005, and his Master and PhD degree in Linguistics and Applied Linguistics from Peking University in 2008 and 2012.
Dr. Geng has rich experiences in teaching Chinese language. He has been teaching various Chinese courses at college levels. His main research interests include Chinese grammar, teaching materials development and modern teaching technologies. He has undertaken and completed academic research projects sponsored by the Chinese National Office for Education Science Planning, the Shanghai Planning Office of Philosophy and Social Science, and the Confucius Institute Headquarter (Hanban). He is author and co-author of many academic books and textbooks. He has published more than 30 academics papers on leading journals in recent 10 years.
