This module provides an interdisciplinary introduction to qualitative traditions of social research. It aims to give you an understanding of some of the main forms of qualitative research, to offer you opportunities to develop the necessary skills for conducting qualitative research, and to help you in reading and assessing research publications. The module is also designed to offer you opportunities to discuss your own research and to exchange ideas with students from a range of disciplines.Qualitative Research Methods will be available as an option to students on the MRes Economics and MRes Finance programmes, and will be compulsory for any students who receive ESRC funding.
