Queen Mary University of London's School of Economics and Finance is pleased to announce a new series of events on Mental Health Economics. Leading academics and policy experts will present on topics related to Mental Health Economics designed to bring together people from different backgrounds.

9 Dec 2022: Making the Economic Case for Refugee Mental Health

The first event featured David McDaid, a well-known expert on Health Policy and Health Economics, with a focus on Mental Health.

6 Mar 2023: Economics of serious mental illness

The second event featured Dr Rowena Jacobs, who has expertise in the economics of mental health and mental health policy. Video Available.

24 April 2023: Global collective action in mental health financing

Presented by Dr Valentina Iemmi - the theme of the event was: 'Allocating development assistance for mental health’.

25 May 2023: Producing evidence to support mental health investment

This event featured Professor Hareth Al-Janabi who has an interest in the economics of mental health and research methods.

26 June 2023: Economics of student mental health, crisis and cultivation

Presented by Chris Sampson Senior Principal Economist, OHE. Video Available.
