ESH285 Postcolonial and Global Literatures offers a year-long selective survey of global and postcolonial literatures, adopting an expansive conception of what 'postcolonial' might signal and signify, in order to introduce you to a range of writing - from Africa, South Asia, the Middle East, the Caribbean, Australasia, and Britain itself - that responds to, challenges, and engages with the legacies of colonialism, decolonisation, nationalism, neo-colonialism and neo-liberalism in twentieth-century and contemporary literary and cultural production.
