Ms Rosie Dastgir

English Teaching Fellow

I’m a writer and novelist, based in Hackney, London.  I published my first novel, A Small Fortune, while living in Brooklyn, and I’m currently working on my second. My writing has appeared in the New York Times Magazine, Stella magazine, Planet Mindful, and Prospect, and I’ve written and presented short drama and documentary for BBC Radio 4.  I’m a contributing writer for Spitalfields Life, a daily blog about east London culture. I’ve appeared at several literary festivals, including Birmingham, London and Lahore, and the Littératures Européennes Cognac, France, where my book was a runner up in the library readers’ prize.
