More information

Queen Mary proudly entered into a formal partnership with CONICYT in 2017 with the first cohort expected to enrol on postgraduate degrees in Septeber 2018. This co-funded scholarship is available across all of our full-time Masters and PhD programmes*.

To qualify for this co-funded scholarship, applicants must make two seperate applications: one to Queen Mary for admission onto the course, and another to CONICYT for the scholarship. This scholarship is also known as Becas Chile and full details can be found at

Applicants must have an offer from Queen Mary (ONLY conditional on English language and funding) at the point of applicantion to CONICYT for the scholarship. We therefore encourage those considering applying for CONICYT funding to apply for admission to Queen Mary at least 6 weeks before the CONICYT window opens.

*For some PhD programmes in the School of Medicine and Dentistry, if the cost of the research project exceeds the maximum contribution from CONICYT additional funding may need to be sourced. Alternatively, the project may need to be adapted. For this reason, we ask all CONCIYT applicants to make this clear on their Queen Mary application and PhD applicants should also inform their supervisor.
