Project title: New Materials for Bioelectronic Applications
Summary: Organic electrochemical transistors are receiving great attention for a variety of aqueous-interfacing bioelectronic applications over the last two decades. Organic electronic materials are particularly interesting active materials due to their synthetic tunability, biocompatibility, and soft mechanical properties. Therefore, in this project, I will focus on designing and synthesizing a series of new materials for organic electrochemical transistors. With the emergence of novel molecules, detailed structure-property relationships and reasons for their good performance will be explored further.
