Project title: Organic-Inorganic Nanohybrids as Light Harvesting Assemblies: a Single-Molecule Approach
Summary: The main object of this project is to design and investigate novel light harvesting assemblies for Quantum Dot-based photovoltaic devices. In particular, we will combine 0D and 1D nanomaterials, such as Quantum Dot–Single Wall Carbon Nanotube (QD-CNT), forming a nanocomposite photodetector with ultrahigh gain and wide spectral response. These nanohybrid structures will be assembled employing an aqueous-based (i.e. green) strategy, and their properties will be investigated.
