Project title: Rotaxane CuI Complexes as Luminescent Triplet Harvesting Dopants for OLED Devices

Summary: This project is a proof of concept investigation on the application of rotaxane Cu-complexes as dopants for OLEDs. We will synthesise and study this new class of Cu complex using advanced physical methods (electrochemistry, EPR and molecular modelling) and correlate the physical data with the performance of Cu-rotaxane doped OLEDs devices. Using this information we will design optimised Cu complexes and demonstrate their utility for lighting and display applications.
