Research
Research Interests:
Organic chemistry, new synthetic methodology and total synthesis
Our group is interested in the development of new and scalable chemistry for the synthesis and elaboration of 3, 4 and 5 membered rings. Current work concerns novel ways to access and functionalise cyclopropanes, cyclobutanes, oxetanes, aziridines, azetidines, sultines and sultones. We also retain an interest in natural product total synthesis, particularly those possessing unusual ring systems, where we attempt to mimic the proposed biogenetic pathway to enable easy access to such compounds.
