Project title: The development and synthetic applications of intramolecular hydride transfer onto arynes

Summary: The goal is to improve and further develop the intramolecular hydride transfer reaction of N,N-disubstituted 3-(aminomethyl)-2-(trimethylsilyl)phenyl trifluoromethanesulfonates which has been researched in the CRJ workgroup. Initial focus will be laid on improving the reactivity of the reaction by modifying the arene backbone with EWG groups and by restricting conformations of the 3-(aminomethyl) group. Later research will comprise different aryne generation methods (e.g. by anion relay), carbon transfer or the use of different heteroatoms instead of the nitrogen.
