Irys

The Irys Instrument from Bionano Genomics directly images intact and labelled genomic DNA, which has been linearized on the IrysChip for de novo assembly, providing the long-range genomic information required for high-resolution discovery of structural variations.

IRYS

The instrument can be used for the following:

  • Whole-genome de novo assembly
  • Large structural variation discovery
  • Hybrid scaffolding
  • Gap sizing
  • Haplotype phasing
  • Assembly validation
  • Quantification of repeats
