Warming affects ecosystems not just biodiversity

Published:

Planet Earth Online looks at research led by Dr Gabriel Yvon-Durocher from School of Biological and Chemical Sciences at Queen Mary into the effect that a four per cent global temperature rise could have on ecosystems. The research team looked at the way warming might affect the structure of benthic communities (creatures that live at the bottom of a fresh-water ecosystem) and what impact that would have on how the ecosystem functions.

This story has been reported in Planet Earth Online.
