Published:

A conference on language organised by Dr Alex Mesoudi and Dr Alan McElligottand held last week at Queen Mary, brought together experts on language and genetics, animal communication, the evolution of human culture, neurology and psychology to debate how and why language evolved in humans. Professor Adger from the Department of Linguistics at QM comments in Times Online, “We're still in the realm of mythology here, but much of the research presented at the conference threw light on which aspects of these myths can be turned into hard testable science.”
