In this organismal biology and biological and experimental psychology seminar, Mary Herbert, Professor of Reproductive Biology at Newcastle University will deliver a talk on 'Maternal inheritance - a tale of two genomes'.

As Professor of Reproductive Biology and Honorary Consultant Clinical Scientist, Mary leads a team of clinical and research scientists working side by side in a programme of basic, translational and clinical science.  

The close integration of clinical and research teams is a cornerstone of the research programme in Professor Herbert's lab, which aims to advance knowledge in the biology of germ cells and early embryos with a view to improving the treatment and understanding of infertility and extending the scope of reproductive technologies to prevent transmission of disease.

This seminar is open to all.
