Time: 1:00 - 2:00pm Speaker: Professor Davide Zoccolan, SISSA TriesteVenue: Fogg Lecture Theatre, G.E Fogg Building
In this SBCS Thursday seminar, Professor Davide Zoccolan of SISSA Trieste will deliver a talk on neuronal processing of visual information.
Professor Davide Zoccolan’s Visual Neuroscience Lab investigates the neuronal processing of visual information, using a combination of psychophysics and multi-unit neuronal recordings in rodents, as well as computational modeling and machine learning. The lab has pioneered the use of rats in the study of high-level visual functions, and is currently pursuing several projects aimed at understanding the neuronal basis of visual object recognition and motion perception in this species.
This seminar is open to all and free to attend, no registration required.
